The Kanaka Bar Band is also known as T'eqt' aqtn'mux or "the crossing place people". It is a First Nations government located at Kanaka Bar, British Columbia, Canada, between the towns of Boston Bar and Lytton in the Fraser Canyon region.

Project Summary

Housing Assessments: In December 2016 Community Power was asked by Kanaka Land & Holdings Ltd. (KLH) to conduct non-invasive assessments of 27 homes, 17 of which had been previously assessed by Community Power (Quality Program Services) in 2015. Community Power’s assessments focused primarily on identifying energy related deficiencies and potential improvements in homes to improve energy efficiency. In addition, the assessments would also identify: • Health and safety issues • Obvious and visible major defects • Minor/cosmetic deficiencies
