There are flights only on Wednesdays from Port McNeill as well. You can charter this through Pacific Coastal but it is very expensive!

There are water taxi option as well but also very expensive.

Take a 30-minute boat ride up the river operated by Terrance Willie, also goes by Joe (cash only, $30 each way, per person, plus their time in the Village)

There is NO grocery store in the community.

Transportation: we borrowed an Argo previously for $100/day. There are 3 trucks and 1 Argo in town.
- The Argo belongs to Terrance/Joe who operates the boat.

- During the 2021 trip, the team discovered that there are teacherages that other trades use for accommodation. Ask for information on the teacherages for the next trip (the team would prefer not to stay in individual homes, and are happy to bring/prepare their own food).

Notes:
- The community has potable water
- There is no cell service, but WiFi calling with iPhone works well
- B&B's have WiFi
- Administration office has WiFi
- Can we ask Kingcome to supply bear spray (can't bring it on planes)
- Quite dusty (watch for electronics, as well as asthma, etc.)
- But also quite wet; bring rags to wipe down the quad each morning
- Grizzlies are common in community
- Take bear aware training before heading out
- Check with Lucy/Robin to see if they need anything (groceries, etc.)
- Check upon arrival if there have been any wildlife sighting recently; will act as an ice breaker, and inform you bear-havior
